About Your Vodcast


Many businesses and other organisations are quickly coming to the conclusion that a communications and engagement strategy without some level of video interaction with their clients, fans. employees or other stakeholders is missing one of the fastest growing and contemporary media channels you can offer.

Maybe you've considered a vodcast but just don't know where to start. Maybe you know where to start but recognise that you don't have the skills, experience and/or equipment to create your own. Maybe you think that vodcasting is too expensive for you and your organisation.

The process is simple and involves only a few steps to get started.

Step 1 - Develop a vodcast strategy

This is no different to every other planning activity - without a clear strategy, you will lack direction and, sooner or later, run out of ideas. We understand that a vodcast strategy might be something you've never done before. With our experience in producing our own vodcasts and vodcasts for our clients, we can certainly help you with the development of a strategy that meets your organisation's needs.

Step 2 - Decide on a name and frequency for your vodcast

It probably seems obvious but this is a really important step in the process. There are so many YouTube and other video channels and so you need to have an idea that stands out in the crowd. Calling your vodcast "The Real Estate Investor" or "Well-being Weekly" is probably not going to do the job. Maybe you have a great idea already - if not, we are certainly able to provide advice and ideas for this critical step in your vodcasting journey.

Step 3 - Develop the content for at least the first five episodes - more if possible

You've seen it with newsletters - the first edition is jam-packed with content and the second edition is pretty good as well. By edition three, content is starting to become more difficult to source and, by edition five, you've probably reverted to team member profiles to fill the space. By edition six or seven, the newsletter is consigned to history.

When you develop your vodcast strategy, the structure and frequency will be stated ... but will you have the content ready? For example, if your vodcast is going to be interview-based, have you identified your first five guests?

Step 4 - Hand the production over to Your Vodcast

Once we get to this point, we can take over the production of Your Vodcast for you! We will obviously still be reliant upon you to provide the content, guests, etc but every other aspect of the vodcast production can be left to us!
